How we became involved with puppies. Over the last couple of years we keep finding relatives and friends that raise puppies, but all to often both husband and wife have full time jobs and growing families. They enjoy raising puppies but just don't have the extra time it requires to take pictures of their puppies, list them on the Internet, email and communicate with people wanting puppies and then drive the puppies to Dallas to catch a flight at 5 a.m. on a work day. I've always been involved with people in my professional career; I like photography and the computer. Since my wife and I aren't interested in breeding (unless we find BOO a girlfriend) but love puppies we thought why not work with these families that have really good puppies to help them find good homes. It's worked out great! (it's sort of like being grandparents all the time even when our granddaughters aren't here) We get to enjoy the puppies during part of the cute puppy stage and at the same time make sure they find people that will love them. Our biggest problem is that we want to keep them all. |
